In 1906, Emily Davison joined the WSPU, a little-known group for ‘mad’ women who were campaigning for female suffrage. Little did she know the impact her actions would have on the world in the years to follow.

Virtual Visit Details

Your class will receive a video call from Suffragette Emily Davison. She’s a tough lady and is ready to convince your class why campaigning for female suffrage is worth risking your life for.

Emily will tell you about:
• Her upbringing and why she joined the WSPU in 1906
• The people who are doing everything they can to stand in the way of the Suffragettes
• The bold tactics she uses to make her point known, such as protests and hunger striking
• Her devious plan for the Epsom Derby...

A live, interactive performance followed by Q&A.
