Virtual Visit Details
Delivered by biological scientist and marine medic Delia Webb (CPPC), this session is ideal for both KS1 and KS2.
Pupils will explore fascinating facts about how plastics affect the environment and marine creatures. Be amazed to discover types of plastic pollution you had never even thought about!
Your students will gain:
- Basic awareness of the issue of global marine plastic pollution.
- Understanding of the different types of plastics that pollute our sea & beaches, where they originate, how long they persist, and the impact on wildlife.
- Knowledge about marine creatures found in the UK (KS1&2)
- Science skills in determining buoyancy properties of plastics (KS2)
