K.N. Chimbiri is the inspiring author of Black history books including The Story of the Windrush - a book that sensitively tells the inspiring story of the Windrush generation for younger readers. KS2+
Virtual Visit Details
Your class will enjoy a virtual ‘Meet the Author’ via Zoom (or another online platform if preferred).
Kandace will explain why she started writing Black history books for children. She will then offer a presentation on either The Story of the Windrush, The Story of Afro Hair or The Story of Britain’s Black Airmen (please specify your choice below). Kandace will talk about her research, writing process and the history behind her book.
After the talk, there’s a chance to ask questions.

Each term (just a few times a year we promise!) we send an email with relevant virtual visits to coincide with events like Black History Month, World Book Day and Science Week. If you'd be happy to receive this, please tick below.
